Faith in Gods Protection

I’m sure you’ve probably been in a place where you started to question if God’s protection was really there for you. A lot of Christians have. So, what do we do next? Well, one of the first steps is knowing how to build up our faith in God’s protection. Let’s check out what Psalm 121:7-8 (NLT) says “The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.”This is a really good verse to remember when you’re feeling like your faith in God’s protection is weak. The great thing about God is that He’s got a solution for everything we go through. He gives us ways to get closer to Him and strengthen our faith. Things like fasting and praying are powerful tools, especially when we’re unsure of what to do.

God’s protection is always perfect; nothing He does ever fails or goes to waste. He’s promised to protect us, and God keeps His promises. Romans 11:29 (NLT) says, “For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn.”That means it doesn’t matter where we are or what we’re doing—whether we're shopping, hanging out with family and friends, or just relaxing at home—God is always watching over us.

Psalm 91:4 (NLT) says, “He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” We might not even know everything God does behind the scenes to keep us safe. But every time we make it home safe, it’s like God was parting the Red Sea for us during the day. There are so many things that could happen to us, but because of His endless grace and mercy, God covers us and lets us live in peace. Waking up every day, healthy and with a sound mind, is a reminder of how much God loves us and values our lives. He will keep His promise to protect us, and we can trust this with all our hearts.

Don’t Be Selfish

We’ve all been selfish at times, whether it’s not sharing with others or only thinking about ourselves. But God doesn’t want us to be selfish. He tells us in James 3:15 (NLT), “For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.”We can see from this verse that being selfish doesn’t please our Heavenly Father, but that’s not all. Being selfish holds us back too. It means that the wrong motive is in our hearts, and when that happens, Proverbs 4:23 lets us know that this influences the outcomes we get back in life. In other words, by being selfish, we can set ourselves up for unhappiness.

Our Heavenly Father wants us to care for others and have a kind heart. In 2 Timothy 3:2-4 (NLT), it says, “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.” We should never want to be like the people this passage is referring to. Instead, we should want to please God by being generous and sharing what we have.

This passage shows us how selfishness can take over people’s hearts. It describes a life where people put themselves first, and they forget about the needs of other people around them. As God’s children, we need to recognize this negative quality and stay away from it. God wants us to have a heart full of love, kindness, and care for the people around us. We should aim to live in a way that makes God happy by being loving, forgiving, and thinking of others.

In conclusion, we should always try to have a selfless heart. When we avoid selfishness and choose to care for others, it honors God. Most importantly, it shows that we love Him and want to live through His love and light.

Knowing When You are Blocked

We all make plans, right? Whether it’s doing something fun or going somewhere, we usually have an idea of what we want to do. But it’s important to remember that sometimes our plans don’t always go the way we think they will because God is the One who’s really in control of our steps.

Psalm 37:23 (NLT) says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” That means God is always guiding us, even in the little things.

Let’s say you’re planning to move to a different state. You’ve found a place you like, but then, suddenly, no good job offers come, and things just aren’t working out.

Everything feels like it’s going wrong. Well, that might be a sign that God doesn’t want you to move there right now. But it’s not just about big things like moving—it could even be something small, like running to the store to grab some groceries. Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you planned because you might be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s why God sometimes blocks us from doing certain things or going certain places.

In Proverbs 16:9 (NLT), it says, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” This shows us that no matter what plans we have, God is the one guiding us and deciding where we should go. So, we should make it a habit to pray about everything we do, whether it’s a big decision or just a small task.

In the end, always remember to pray before you do anything. It might not be God’s Will for you to do that thing, and we need to be open to God’s signs when He’s telling us to stop or change direction. Keep your eyes open for those signs, and trust that God knows what’s best for you.

Treating Everyone Fairly

We’ve all had times when we were treated unfairly, or even when we’ve treated someone unfairly ourselves. This can be very frustrating, but we must remember that God calls us to treat everyone fairly, no matter who they are. In fact, He commands us to do this.

In Deuteronomy 24:14-16 (NLT), God says, “Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns. You must pay them their wages each day before sunset because they are poor and are counting on it. If you don’t, they might cry out to the Lord against you, and it would be counted against you as sin.”

This is a reminder that how we treat others matters to our Heavenly Father, especially when it comes to those who are vulnerable or in need. He wants us to be kind, honest, and fair in everything we do. Whether it's someone at school, a friend, or a family member, we should always do our best to treat others the way God wants us to— with fairness and respect.

The verse also tells us that there are consequences if we don’t follow God’s command to treat people fairly. If we’re unfair or unkind to others, it displeases Him, and is counted against us as a sin. None of us should ever want that. To live a happy life, we need to follow the example of Christ and be kind and compassionate, then we can be confident that we are delighting in our Heavenly Father as He delights in us.

So, remember that God calls us to show kindness and fairness to everyone, especially those who may be having a hard time in life. Always try to be fair in your actions, in the way you treat others, and in the way you think about them. You can make a difference by being fair, and that’s a great way to honor God!

Speaking Goodness into Your Life

Speaking God’s promises over your life every day is more important than you might think. Many people don’t realize just how much their words can shape their thoughts, feelings, and even their future. Saying things like, “I am blessed, and I am loved by God,” can help you think the way God wants you to think. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21, (NLT): “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” This means that the words we speak can either bring good things into our lives or cause harm. That’s why it’s so important to speak words that agree with what God says about us!

In Deuteronomy 28:13, (NLT), God told His people, “If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.” This is a great blessing that He gave them. Colossians 2:10, (NLT) tells us: “And you are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” This is awesome too! No matter what happens, God’s Word assures us that we are victorious and whole in Him.

“I am the head and not the tail, I am above only and not beneath,” and “I am completely complete in Jesus Christ” are some of the affirmations I remind myself to say throughout the day, especially when things aren’t going like I hope. Speaking these truths helps me remember who I am in Christ. They keep me from letting negative thoughts take over.

Ephesians 4:29 (NLT) says, “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” This reminds us that we should only speak affirmations that are in line with God’s truth. This will really be a blessing to our lives. So, in conclusion, remember that it’s a very great practice to speak God’s Word of life into your existence by saying what He says about you. When you do this, you are speaking goodness into your life and aligning your faith with His wonderful plans for you!
